Since people are seeming to use this site a litte more, i was thinking of fixing this site, ( which i will, but mainly the arcade and i'll explain ) since a lot of codes no longer work and support is dying for the IF format i've decided to put the effort into the new zetaboard format, i guess it's got a lot more features, but it's also an entirely new format, so it's like starting over ( at least for me ) code wise everything is different so updates will take some time, i read a little something about conversions, making it so people don't need to re-register and no one will lose posts etc so in the meantime i'm gonna try to update the arcade a little to make it ready for the transfer, if you guys care about the arcade try to let me know what games you're having issues with, if not then i'll go through it once and remove non working games...once only, so if it's not working at the time i check it, then it's gone, if you have a specific favorite please let me know soon and i'll see about saving it but everyone is welcome to check out whats going on so far, and keep in mind it's a test board so feel free to post and check shit out http://s1.zetaboards.com/The_Gamenation_Test/index/ there is a skin changer at the bottom of the page |

lol thanks it's a work in progress but from what i've seen so far the ZB format blows the If format away, you can do a lot more shit, and the graphics are a lot cleaner i'll be adding shit to it when i can...bare with me though it's pretty hard :( |

old code will not work at all, conversions will only 1. make it so registered members of your IF board don't need to re-register 2. make it so registered members of your IF board don't lose their post count 3. i'm guessing you can transfer all your forums and posts etc... which will save a lot of time as for the codes they are WAY different so i wouldn't count on them working, even the arcade code is different, very different |

if you look in your acp under Invisionfree Network you will see a like at the bottom saying "Convert To Zetaboards" These Are Your Choices.. Opt in. Convert my board as soon as possible. Opt in. Convert my board as soon as possible and turn the new board offline so I can make changes before my memebrs start using it. Opt in. I want to select the exact time and date my board is converted (selecting this option will result in a wait until the on-demand conversion epriod begins). Opt out. Do not convert my board to the new service. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ And This is What Is Converted: Topics & Posts Forums & Categories Board Settings, Admin notepad, Board rules Member accounts and their settings Permission masks Groups PMs, PM tracking, contacts Polls Board Stats Moderator logs, warn logs, email logs, and admin logs Calendar events Badword lists Forum and topic tracking Moderators Validating members Emoticons (smilies) Titles & Ranks AutoTools (MultiMods) Attachments, pips, and uploaded files Ad removal (Essentially this means that all data on your InvisionFree board is converted) ------------------------------------------------------ And Conversion Facts: The conversion is completely free. You do not need to turn your board offline, but during the opt-in process you can select to have your newly converted board turned offline so you can make any changes before members start using it. You do not have to do anything in preparation for the conversion. The doHTML tag will work in converted posts, but will not be available at this time for use in new posts. ZetaBoards offers a wider selection of BBCode that will let you do things such as create tables and embed YouTube videos without the doHTML tag. Your InvisionFree board, topic, and forum URLs will redirect to the new board. These redirects will continue indefinitely so that no one has trouble reaching your board. If you have a custom domain, it will redirect to the new ZetaBoards URL for your board. You will need to point the custom domain at the new ZetaBoards server to fully use the domain on your new board. If you have a custom domain, the instructions for re-pointing it will be listed in your new Admin CP. If the converter encounters broken data on your InvisionFree board (caused by a past bug or any other reason) it will either correct the problem or alert you of the problem and how to solve it via an Admin CP message on your new board. In no case will the converter be unable to convert your board. There is no conversion back to InvisionFree at this time. The ZetaBoards software offers an improved forum experience. If you have any concerns that ZetaBoards might not be for you, feel free to start a test ZetaBoards forum or open a support ticket with any questions. A skin converter will be available at a later date. We will store all your skin's data and make it available to convert. Only the board owner can opt-in at this time. UPDATE- i recently got a new job (around the time we got converted...perfect timing lol) so i won't be on nearly as much, a lot of shit is going to have to wait till the weekend when i have the free time rest assured it will all get done, it's just gonna take a little bit longer than anticipated, 6am-6pm is a looooooooooong day so try to be patient with me |
